Language is one of the main seeds of a person’s
ethnic identity. Not only is it a means of communicating thoughts and ideas, but
it forges friendships, cultural ties, and economic relationships. So one should
always endeavor to learn new languages apart from their native language. The Indian constitution recognizes 18 official Indian languages and each language
has produced a literature of great vitality and richness. Hindi is the official language of
India. English also has the official status.
