About Balmitra

The main aim of Balmitra.Com is to be an online resource for kids to learn Indian languages. Balmitra is a Sanskrit word which means 'a child's friend'. 
Balmitra was initiated in 2007 with an objective to assist Indian parents bring up their child in an Indian way. 

It serves this purpose through four varied windows:

About India : Provides a brief introduction to the rich Indian culture, history, inventions, facts & achievements, national symbols & national monuments. 

Language Book : This section introduces the basics of  Indian languages to children in an easy to learn manner. Each language has clear labeled images, colorful flashcards and interesting worksheets to make learning easy and fun.

Activity Book : Enhance your child's knowledge through the printable worksheets in this section.

Story Book : Collection of selective ancient Indian stories with moral values, witty tales of famous poets & jesters, legendary Indian temples, importance of character education and much more...

We aim to provide useful guidelines to make children aware of the rich heritage and traditions of India.
